Fiammetta Vernì graduated in Biological Sciences at Sapienza University in 1988 and since 1996 she has been working as a researcher at the department of Biology and Biotechnology
"Charles Darwin" of the same university. He teaches Genetics for the three-year degree in Biological Sciences.
She conducted several studies on genes controlling the cell division using Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism. Currently she works on DNA damage and diabetes. She
published on numerous international journals and collaborated with several Italian and foreign research groups.
