Angela Santoni is full professor of Immunology and Immunopathology at the department of Molecolar Medicine of Sapienza University. She was Editor-in-chief of Immunology Letters (2010-2012) and currently she is member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Immunology and the American Journal of Reproductive Immunology, as well as referee of several international journals. She is recipient of grants from several research agencies including MIUR (coordinator of a national program from 1987), CNR, Ministry of Health, AIRC and the European Union.

Her research interests are focussed on several aspects of the so-called Natural Killer (NK) cells. She's author of more than 220 publications in highly qualified international journals and invited speaker in

numerous national and international scientific congresses.
